I’m having my wedding band and engagement ring redesigned in anticipation and celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary and 60th birthday – both happening later this year. I met with the jeweller – a gorgeous creative lady – to discuss design ideas. Looking at beautiful gems, sharing experiences and ideas and personal backgrounds and perspectives – the connection was so unexpected. It took me back to my 20’s – where I was at a party and first met Jacqui – my Studio partner of 2022 – and close friend. This connection resonated in the same way. A beautiful person, resonating ideas and personality, a creative, a Mum and a very inspiring woman. It was so lovely to be able to appreciate and encourage each other – she was so encouraging to me – at a similar stage of life.
Be brave, find soul mates, step out – take risks. Life is wonderful. Expect the unexpected.
My new ring designs will be a tangible reflection of my life journey, memories, creativity – symbolising our love, marriage and life together. It’s a pretty exciting statement. I’ll be looking at it a lot – just like I did when I first put my engagement ring on all those years ago. Love this journey.
I also really appreciate that my husband doesn’t mind me changing the ring designs. I love the freedom of being able to express myself in this way.
